ECP Stoped ROs to issue final results of 10 NA and 16 provincial assembly seats
The Election Commission of Pakistan has stopped the returning officer of some constituencies from issuing the final results for the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats.
The Chief Election Commissioner has constituted a four-member bench under his chairmanship which will hear the appeal on the results of NA-48.
The application has been filed by an independent candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. In which he has stated that as per Form 45 he was winning with a lead of 50000 but as per Form 47 issued by the Returning Officer his win has been converted into loss.
ECP while issuing notice to IPP candidate Khurram Nawaz has also stopped RO from releasing the final result of NA 47 NA 48.
Meanwhile, the ECP also stopped the ROs from releasing the final results of PK 73, PK 79, PK 80 and PK 82. PTI-backed Taimur Jhagra and Kamran Bangash had challenged the results of PK 79 and PK 82 respectively.
Besides, results of NA 28, NA 49 Attock, NA 50 Attock, NA 55 Rawalpindi, NA 63 and NA 65 were also challenged in ECP.
Talking about the seats of provincial assemblies, the results of PB1, PP11, PP20, PP14, PP16, PP31, PP33 and PP59 were also challenged in the ECP. was
The ECP stopped the ROs from releasing the final results of 10 NA and 16 provincial assembly seats.
Meanwhile, the ECP also stopped the RO from releasing the final result of NA-15 Mansehra from where PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif was defeated by a PTI-backed independent candidate.
